California is in one of the worst droughts in history, and homeowners are having to adjust to stringent water-use restrictions. It’s no surprise that homebuyers are now looking for rain catchment features in potential new homes.
The California Association of Realtors reported that rain catchment is the number one “eco-feature” that will raise the potential of selling a home, followed by energy efficient windows and ceiling fans.
While “going green” is still a hot trend, California homeowners are now looking for features that will impact their wallet as well as the environment.
